Job Description
The J-1 Swine Production Training & Internship Program offers young Indian professionals the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in advanced swine farming practices in the United States. This 12-month structured program is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in swine production, including animal care, breeding management, health monitoring, and facility operations. Participants will also develop a deep understanding of American agricultural practices and workplace culture through a carefully customized training plan.
Each trainee or intern will be provided with a personalized training plan detailing specific learning objectives, supervisory structures, and evaluation processes.
Eligibility Criteria
Age: 18-28
Trainee Category:
- A degree or professional certificate from a post-secondary academic institution plus at least one year of related work experience, or
- A minimum of five years of related work experience in the swine production/agriculture field.
Intern Category:
- Currently enrolled in a degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution, or
- Recent graduates (graduated within the past 12 months) in a related academic field.
Mandatory Requirements:
- A valid 4-wheeler driving license, issued at least one year prior to the program start date.
- Fluency in English (IELTS is not mandatory, but candidates must demonstrate strong comprehension and communication skills).
